Yes too much dollars, it just aint worth it, we have all been down this path before, and it goes nowhere, but hey if you won lotto then no worries, yes it could be that bad according to my transmission guy.

I have a TE 4cyl Manual setup you guys can have in replace of the auto and some $$.

Yeah a donor car would be good, but us poor people cant afford it
think that if you can get a working manual, transfer the engine and box into your pride and joy, sell the other car (now made auto (Easier to sell)) and presto, almost no money change over, just a little commitment until of course you sell the other car
It's not going to be that expensive if you can find one,
I know that recenlty ash3 was looking for a box, and found 2 in AUS (for sale) and costs were pretty high (near 2k, change over)
it's an option of you do it like that! (something to think about)
